每年六月，都是一个分水岭：把一年的光阴，分为上半年和下半年；把我们的学生，分为在校和毕业；把一部分人生，分为告别和出发……于是2005年，当四川美术学院第一次把“毕业生作品展”面向公众开放时，就命名为：“开放的六月”——用重庆话来说：直白！这个透露着这座城市性格的名称，不管三七二十一，一用，就用了21年。正是过去持之以恒的21年，让“开放的六月”通过时间的积淀，厚积薄发，成为这座城市、乃至西南地区重要的艺术IP和文化金名片。

斗转星移、世事迁徙，科技争锋之下的AI之变，风高浪急。时代变革之际，“开放的六月”迎来了第一次“点题”：燃。

燃，是能量的转换：点亮与引燃，是从“无”到“有”，从“暗”到“明”，从“冷静”到“热烈”，是光与热的能量转换。

燃，是势态的无阻：是薪火相传、文脉赓续，是从古人“燃膏继晷”的治学态度，到平等、开放的艺术血脉，是川美精神的代代相传。

燃，是温度的炙热：它是青春激荡、热辣滚烫。以无畏的视角观察世界，以蓬勃的动力直面人生，是理想的张扬、是鲜活的力量。

燃，是未知的可变：它既是灵光乍现，又可思想成焰。每一个艺术观念的呈现与表达，都是灵感被点燃、情感被释放、共鸣被照亮的一瞬万年。

燃，是殷殷的祝福：愿我们的每一位毕业生，都是点点星火，聚则成焰、散可燎原！而“毕业”仅仅是点燃另一段时光：愿川美学子以艺为火、以燃为志，带着校园里沉淀的热爱，在更广阔的天地里持续发光，彼此照亮！

是的，你们的作品和人生，必将从这个六月——“燃”起来！

Every June marks a turning point. It divides the year into its first and second halves, sees students move from campus to graduation, and signals both farewell and new beginnings.That is why the graduation works exhibition was named Blooming June when Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SCFAI) first opened it to the public in 2005. In Chongqing dialect, Blooming June conveys directness and simplicity. Because it so fully reflected the city’s character, the name was adopted at once and has remained in use for 21 years. It is precisely the 21 consecutive years of persistence that have enabled Blooming June to steadily grow in depth and influence. Today, it is not only an important artistic IP, but also a golden cultural brand of the city and even the wider southwestern region.

As the world changes and technology advances at an unprecedented pace, AI has become one of the defining forces of our time. Against this backdrop of transformation and uncertainty, this year’s Blooming June introduces its inaugural annual theme: Ignition.

Ignition represents the awakening and transformation of energy: the movement from nothing into being, from darkness into light, from stillness into passion. It is the moment when latent force becomes illumination and warmth.

Ignition also signifies an unstoppable momentum. It is the passing of the torch and the continuation of cultural inheritance. From ancient scholars studying by lamplight late into the night to SCFAI’s enduring tradition of openness and inclusiveness, ignition embodies a spirit carried forward from generation to generation.

Ignition is also the heat of passion. It reflects the vitality of youth — intense, fearless, and full of conviction. It is a way of observing the world with courage, embracing life with energy, and expressing ideals with honesty and strength.

Ignition, at the same time, speaks to the unknown and the ever-evolving. It can be the sudden spark of inspiration or the flame kindled by thoughts. The expression of every single artistic idea is both immediate and enduring — a moment when inspiration is lit, emotion is released, and resonance is felt.

Above all, the spirit of ignition is a blessing for every graduate. May each of you be a spark—gathering into flame, spreading light, and carrying warmth into the world. Graduation is not an ending, but the ignition of a new journey. May SCFAI students take art as their fire and ignition as their spirit, carrying the passion nurtured on campus into broader horizons, continuing to shine and illuminate one another.

From this June onward, may your work and life truly ignite.

The exhibition brings together over 2,000 sets and 10,000 works on display simultaneously from over 1,500 undergraduates from 24 majors and more than 400 postgraduates from 6 disciplines.
