何桂彦

He Guiyan

 

2003年毕业于四川美院美术学系,获硕士学位;2009年毕业于中央美院人文学院,获博士学位。批评家、策展人,现任教于四川美院美术学系,教授。现任四川美院美术学系副主任、中国批评家年会学术委员、中国雕塑学会理事、中国策展委员会委员、中国城市雕塑学会委员、重庆雕塑协会副会长。

 

研究领域有欧美现当代艺术、艺术批评与展览策划、中国当代艺术思潮等。曾在国内学术期刊《艺术评论》、《文艺研究》、《美术研究》、《艺术当代》等发表批评文章70余篇,共50万字。2008年以来,先后出版个人著作与编著13本,如《走向后抽象》(河北美术出版社、2008年)、《形式主义批评的终结》(文化艺术出版社、2009年)、《建构之维:当代艺术家个案》(副主编、中国青年出版社、2010年)、《清晰的地平线——1978年以来的中国当代雕塑》(河北美术出版社,2011年)、《社会风景:中国当代绘画中的风景叙事》(河北美术出版社,2014年)、《前卫的没落》(上海人民美术出版社,2015年)、《社会剧场:参与与共享》(副主编、重庆美术出版社、2017年)等。

 

2004年以来,曾策划数十个当代艺术展,如:“1976-2006乡土现代性到都市乌托邦:四川画派学术回顾展”、“清晰的地平线——1978年以来的中国当代雕塑展”、“社会风景”——当代艺术邀请展、“当代雕塑的方位”——2013年大同国际雕塑双年展(主题展策展人)、“日常之名”——中国当代艺术中的日常话语与观念生成、“神话、叙事、想象——当代艺术邀请展”、“形式乌托邦”——中国当代艺术中的形式表达与文化观念、“叙事中国”——香港回归20周年中国当代艺术邀请展、“社会剧场”——第四届重庆青年美术双年展展等。

 

 

Graduated from Department of the Art History, Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2003 as a Master. Graduated from School of the Humanities, China Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2009 as a Doctor. Critic, Curator. Teaching in Department of the Art History in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in current as Professor. Deputy Director of Department of the Art History in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Director of the Contemporary School of Arts in Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Academic Member of the China Annual Art Critics Assembly. Member of the China Sculpture Institute. Member of the Curators Committee in China Artists Association. Member of the China Urban Sculpture Committee.

 

Has published more than 60 papers (above 400 thousand words) on domestic learned periodicals, such as “Arts Criticism”, “Literature & Art Studies”, “Art Research” and “Art China”. Has published 12 personal writings and books from 2008, such as “Move Towards the Post-Abstraction” (Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, 2008). “The End of Formalist Criticism” (Culture and Art Publishing House, 2009). “The Constructed Dimension--Contemporary Artists Individual Cases” (Subeditor, China Youth Publishing Group, 2010). “Start From The Horizon--Chinese Contemporary Sculpture Since 1978” (Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, 2011). “Advance-Guard’s Decline” (Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, 2015).

 

Has curated dozens of contemporary art exhibitions from 2004, such as, “From 1976 To 2006, From Rural Modernity To Urban Utopia--Sichuan School of Painting Academical Retrospective Exhibition”, “Start From The Horizon--Chinese Contemporary Sculpture Since 1978”, “Social Landscape”--Contemporary Invitation Exhibition, “Direction of Contemporary Sculpture”--Datong International Sculpture Biennial in 2013(Subitem Curator), “By The Name Of Dailiness--Daily Discourse and Conception Generate in Chinese Contemporary Art”, “Myth, Narrative, Imagination--Contemporary Art Exhibition”, “Utopia of Form--Form Expression and Cultural Values in Chinese Contemporary Art”, and the like.
